After several years of boat charter, and having a small rubber boat on a trailer, we decided to purchase a bigger boat where we could stay overnight and spend one or two weeks for holidays.
We looked for a boat which can be towed by a 4x4. Since we like to travel long distances on canals and rivers we wanted to have an economical diesel engine, enough space to sit in the cockpit comfortably, a galley and an aft cabin. After several months of research and "boat sightseeing" we decided to go for a Sealine S23 or S25 (which is identical to a S23) which met all of our requirements perfectly. |

We live in Germany, close to Cologne, but unfortunately the market for used S23/S25 in Germany was non-existent. So we had to search in the UK for a boat, which was an adventure on its own for us.
We found an interesting offer in Conwy, Wales, and a few days later we headed on a plane to Manchester, hired a car and went to our sea trial. A couple of days later the boat got a successful pre-purchase survey so that we decided to buy the boat.
